This morning I was contacted via text message by “Jackson”, who wondered if I do “fitness training and exercise”. Why yes, Jackson, yes I do. Enjoy!
The gist is, the scammer purports to be interested in hiring me to train his children (usually 4 or more) 3x a week for a month or more. He’ll agree to whatever price I demand.
With this scam, he is attempting to get $4,000 (!) from me by delivering his family to me via private car service. However, due to reasons that don’t really make sense, they want me to pre-pay the “car service” via bank wire transfer, and then charge it to their (stolen) credit card.
I decided to string Jackson along to waste his time (and possibly discourage future scams) and to see how he would react to any of the ridiculous statements I made.
